Past Lives, Celine Song

Nora and Hae Sung, two deeply connected childhood friends, are separated after Nora’s family emigrates from South Korea. 20 years later, they are reunited for one fateful week as they confront notions of love and destiny.

Thursday’s screening of Past Lives will feature a 30-minute panel discussion with children of immigrants and newcomers, to discuss the film’s themes. The panel will be moderated by Kehan Fu, and will feature panelists Isabel Bacalao, Josh Campillos, and Jay Kim, each bringing a unique perspective, especially concerning the Korean heritage depicted in the film.
