In this recorded lecture/film, designer Bruce Mau explores life-centred design, an approach to solving complex challenges that is grounded on the fact that we are part of a larger ecosystem and everything we do has implications. This design approach considers context and scale, accounts for economic, ecological, and social consequences.

A volunteer organization formed in 1983, The Design Council of Saskatchewan is the collective voice of six provincial associations representing design professionals working in the disciplines of architecture, planning, engineering & geoscience, graphic design, interior design and landscape architecture.
Design Week is a biennial event organized by the Design Council of Saskatchewan. It is an invitation to learn about different areas of design through a series of free lectures and other educational events, all open to the general public. SK Design Week 2025 takes place from November 5-8th, 2025.
