Live Editions: Jillian Ross Print Studio Party
Experience the Connect Gallery at Remai Modern in its new state as a working print studio for the upcoming exhibition Live Editions: Jillian Ross Print. Give Master Printer Jillian Ross a warm welcome as she begins her work of editioning prints of The Great Yes, The Great No by William Kentridge, which are based on his theatrical production of the same name. This is a large-scale and highly complex photogravure series consisting of over 30 plates.

Live Editions will explore and celebrate the significance of Ross’s work as a collaborative printmaker in the production of this yet-unpublished series by the internationally renowned South African artist. The exhibition will also include Kentridge’s Studio Life Gravures series, recently published works by Jillian Ross Print created in response to the COVID-19 lockdown; a selection of Kentridge’s short films; and Wally Dion’s Prairie Braids.
This first peek at Live Editions will be an evening of good conversation, great music and refreshments. Guest DJ Lenorsecode will spin analog, all-vinyl selections from Alsask to Algiers, blending genres of tropicalia, ambient electronic, and 60s soul.
