Opening Celebration – Dawit L. Petros: From the Edge of the Horizon
Remai Modern is pleased to welcome members and the public to celebrate the opening of From the Edge of the Horizon, a career-spanning exhibition of the work of internationally renowned artist Dawit L. Petros.
Join us for an evening of art, music and community. Remai Modern members are invited to join us for an exclusive, first-look exhibition tour at 5 PM sharp followed by a members’ reception.

Opening in Remai Modern’s Feature Gallery, this exhibition marks the first presentation of Dawit L. Petros’s work in Saskatoon, a city he describes as foundational to his artistic practice.
Throughout the evening, enjoy music, refreshments, and remarks from key contributors.
The evening’s program will take place on Level 3 of the museum.

A companion exhibition, From the Edge of the Horizon II is on view at the University of Saskatchewan’s College Art Galleries from September 5 to December 19, 2025. It features works from Petros’s The Stranger’s Notebook, a conceptual multimedia series that questions the relationship between the self and place in the context of present-day migration in Africa.
