The film, named for the Mohawk word from which the name of the city of Toronto is derived, stars Duane Murray and Melanie McLaren as Ray Morrin and Jolene Peltier, who meet while in Toronto on business. Ray, a Métis cartoonist from Vancouver, is in town to pitch an animated series called Indian Jones to a television network, and Jolene, an Anishinaabe artist from Los Angeles, is in town to paint a portrait of Max (Lorne Cardinal), a local indigenous elder.

Cinema at the Museum presents a series of films that combine narrative with documentary-style techniques to establish connections with filmmakers, actors, and modern icons from the prairies and great plains. These films play with the notions of the human experience and how these personal realities are impacted by our communities, environments and people that are the most familiar to us.

Films are $10 or free with membership. Talks, tours and other events are admission by donation or free with membership.
